"Great performance of a difficult production!"

Sondheim music is always difficult to perform. These musicians/instrumentalists/actors were on top of every song! Congratulations!

We recommend this production of Sondheim's Into the Woods. It is full of very strong performances; in particular red riding hood, cinderella, the baker's wife and the witch. Jack was also excellent in character as the confused adolescent. The voices of the two princes blended together very enjoyably as did the voices of the two step sisters. The baker also gave a very strong performance. The stage direction was engaging and true to the feel of the play. The music is outstanding. This production is well worth the trip. Collapse

The modern adaptation of this classic was executed wonderfully by the great cast. Both DJ Hill (Romeo) & Ashley Davis (Juliet) were captivating, truly one of the best pairs I have ever seen play these roles. The scene where they meet is amazing. Kevin Todd Murphy (Friar Laurence) & Jennifer Henry (Lady Capulet) put in amazing performances. Irene Crist (the nurse) made every scene she was in fantastic. But in my mind, the best performance came from Alvaro Francisco (Mercrutio) who gave an amazing awe inspiring performance, when he was on stage you could look at no one else. I was apprehensive about seeing a female Benvolio but Courtney Oliver makes you believe the role was always meant to be played by a woman. The only dim spot in the entire product was Tybalt (played by Rory Dale), while his fighting scenes were believable his acting was rather stiff. I would have liked to see more of Stephen Andrew Parker (Apothocary) & Andrew Moore (Peter) who were both great. Don't miss this one! Collapse

I saw this show opening weekend and can definitely say this is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. The cast has such energy and the main character portrayed Buddy to the "t". My most favorite moment was when Chris McCollum sang Richie Vallen's "La Bamba". It rocked the house!!! That kid is going to go far! Collapse

I went to see this play over the opening weekend and was blown away by the music and acting. It has easily pushed aside so many of my favorite stage plays to rock to #1 in my book. Todd Meredith is a believable Buddy Holly and the cast is amazing! I especially enjoyed the Apollo Singer. This is one of those plays that shouts Encore! Collapse
